We try convince ourselves that we live honest lives when we do not. We have missed the mark, wandered from the right path and tried to cover our tracks. Only with confession and repentance can we experience the true joy of forgiveness.

Lord, forgive our transgressions and cover our sins. Do not count our sin against us. Remove all deceit from our spirits.
